The throttle grip of the Yamaha XJ 600 Diversion opens the carburettor slides via the throttle cables. A cracked tube, worn rubber or dirty pulley makes the throttle stiff or stops it returning on its own, which is dangerous. This original grip comes from a 1999 XJ 600 Diversion (600 cc, 49,000 km), listed in good condition and for the XJ 600 Diversion from 1998 to 2003. Check the tube, rubber and pulley on the photos. Clean the end of the handlebar, lightly grease the friction points, hook up the cables and set the free play; check that the grip snaps shut on its own with the bars turned fully both ways.
